Conceived for Art Basel, this site-specific installation revisits Kawamata’s recurring theme of shelter through cocoon-shaped structure that envelops the viewer in the warm scent of wood. Immersed in the stillness of a forest, the work awakens our imagination, before realising we have stepped into the intimacy of a nest. In that shift of scale, we are no longer mere observers, but dwellers within the natural world.
