Nest on Prouvé (2025-2026), LH14140 — Laffanour Galerie Downtown | Normandy – permanent commission
In collaboration with Mennour, Laffanour | Galerie Downtown commissioned three monumental site-specific intervention by Tadashi Kawamata unfolding across the estate. At the centre of the project, Nest on Prouvé (2025-2026) attaches itself to one of the pylons of Jean Prouvé’s demountable house (ca. 1947). Elsewhere across the site, Three Hut (2026) invites visitors to experience the Norman landscape from a new vantage point, while the nest-shaped intervention Nest on the Hill (2026) overlooks the surrounding estate. Upon entering, visitors are enveloped by the warm scent of wood, while sunlight streams through the slats, gradually shifting their colour and casting ever-changing shadows that enhance its sheltering presence.
