The immersive installation at MAAT’s Oval Gallery depicted the aftermath of an ecological disaster, where debris carried by the sea created a heavily polluted yet visually compelling seascape. The work was created using plastic waste and abandoned boats collected along Portugal’s coastline during beach clean-up campaigns led by the volunteer organization Brigada do Mar, in collaboration with Almada City Hall and the Fishing Port of Nazaré. The exhibition was curated by Pedro Gadanho and Marta Jecu.
